After we jumped out of the pool and went down the hydro slide. We all went down at the same time. After we went to the Splash Centre we went to Kowhai park. As soon as we got there we went on the Flying fox, the train and then went to the bowl with our scooters. Then we went back home to have some afternoon tea. Our Class Assembly Item
On Friday the 2nd of June Room 15 did an assembly item. The assembly item was called once upon a hundred years nap. First we had choose who we wanted to be and decide if we wanted to have a big part in the play with allot of words or didn't want to say much. Since we were an all boys class some people had to be girls and I was one of them. I had to be Merrywell Charming, Prince Stuart's mother. I was one of the main people. Then it was Friday the assembly day. As soon as I walked out onto the stage all of the junior kids were laughing and giggling at me with my blue dress, Brown curly wig, shiny pearl necklises and the teachers shoes that were a bit to big for me. Once I had finished saying all of my lines I felt a whole lot better and I didnt feel very nervous anymore because after all of that learning my lines it finally payed of.

On the holidays my uncle came over from Christchurch. When he got to Wanganui he came over to our house to see us in the morning. He banged on the door so I got up and let him in. We were all still in bed but we were still awake. Then when I let him in I jumped into mums bed with her. Then he came in, said hi and told us that he was staying just down the road from us at Nana's house. But then he had to go back now so he said bye and went back to Nana's. Then a couple of hours later I biked as fast as lightning down to nana's to see uncle Rob. When I got there I said hello to Uncle Rob and to Nana. I was excited. Then me and Rob went to get some movies. When we got to the movie store we got Jack and Jill, Grown ups and Chronicle. Then we went to the countdown and got some lollies and some chips.

The Museum
Today Room's 15 and 6 went for a bus trip to the museum. When we got out of the bus we went inside and got split into two groups, one group went to see the cosmodome and the other group went with Awhina to watch a slide show about the stars and what people did in the olden days to celebrate Matariki. I went into the cosmodome first. When we got there we had to get our shoes off and then go in. When we got inside we sat down on the cushions and looked up at the roof. A cosmodome is a huge blown up tent sort of thing which you get a projector put it in there and you can see pictures of what ever is in the computer screen. We saw lots and lots of stars and learnt some stories about constellations. The guy that was inside with us told us a story about Orion's belt and the scorpion which are both constellations. Then we had to hop out and go with Awhina into a different room. In the room were Awhina was there was also a projector but we didn't go in a cosmodome. First she took us through a slide show of some of the stars names like Matariki and Puanga. Then she showed us some pictures of what they used to do in the olden days to celebrate. We learnt about what the kids used to play with and what they did to get food. Once we finished the slide show we did a haka and sung a song.

One day there was a someone called Jake who lived in a mountain called Ze-da-gon the most dangerous mountain in the world. Inside the mountain it was exactly like a Jungle except there were Terradaptle's, T-rex's and all sorts of dinosaurs. Jake lived in a bamboo house with all sorts of cool things like a queen sized bed and he even had his own 42 inch plasma tv screen. So back to the story Jake was going for a walk in the jungle trying to find some fruit when he saw a huge big fat orange thing sitting in the way of the banana tree. He got a stick and pocked it once twice three times, suddenly it moved then he came closer not knowing that it was a huge snake. Then he finally noticed. Chasing him through the jungle was a terrifying orange slimy python with poisoning fangs and scary red eyes. Jake had to hurry away is well as find a spot where the snake will not be able to get him. Then Jake saw a huge big long tree. Jake thought that if he could quickly climb up the tree the terrifying snake wouldn't get him. So he got up to the top and had a look down but he couldn't see the snake. He thought he might take a risk and climb down. When he got down he had a look around but there was no sign of any thing so he walked home. He sure was hungry but at least he was safe at home. In the morning he woke up and had apple and peach porridge his favorite. Then he went out to go get some fruit again. This time there was no big fat orange slimy snake with terrible red eyes. So all was calm in fact to calm. He got his bananas and strawberries and walked home. When he got home he did the dishes only hearing the sound of the birds chatting to each other. When he had done his dishes he went for a walk. Still all was calm. He walked further and further away from his home but it was ok cause he knew the jungle back to front. Suddenly he herd a rumble a roar, the volcano was going to errupte in a couple of hours Jake had to run home and get out of the volcano...

Rutherford
Today we went to Rutherford Junior High School to do P.E and music. For music Mr Berryman showed us some drums that he had. They were all old drums that you had to hit your hand on the top of it and it would make a loud deep noise. We got to have a go on them after he told us what they did. Then we had to swap over with the P.E group. For P.E we played some games of monster ball which is when you put a big bouncy ball in the middle of a square and you have to try and throw your ball to hit the monster ball so it can roll into another persons square. Then we did some badminton with a buddy, which was my favourite part.

Personification
Today in felts writing group we have been learning about personification. Here is some of my examples:
The wind shouted.
The car roared .
The felt screamed.
The stars winked to me.
The leaves whistled .
To do personification you have to compare something with something that a human would say/do.

PMI about Rules/Laws
Plus:
The good thing about rules is that they keep every thing in place because if there were no rules then maybe our class room would be all messy and every thing would be like of the movie Kindergarten Cop. It makes the world a better place.
Minus:
There is one bad thing is that some bad people dont follow the rules and laws like drink driving.
Interesting:
The interesting thing is that some people don't follow the rules.

Rules And Laws - Whats The Difference?
A rule is something made by a group of people that we have to follow and not enforced by the police.
A law is something that if you break it you go to court and a judge or jury would decide the consequence.
The difference between a law and a rule is that laws are enforced by the police and they are legal rules . If you break a law you can go to court and a jury or a judge decides what action will be taken. There are rules and regulations that we need to follow.
If the law about drink driving was not made then I think that more people would be drinking and driving then many more people would be dying and getting injured.
